The treatment area is cleansed and the MeDioStar handpiece is applied to the skin. The laser delivers precise pulses of light energy into the hair follicle, disabling its ability to produce new growth. The built-in 360° contact cooling system keeps skin comfortable throughout. Sessions vary from 15 minutes (underarms) to 60+ minutes (legs or back). Skin may appear slightly pink immediately after, resolving within hours.

Shaving, waxing, and threading are temporary — and endless. Laser hair removal with the MeDioStar gives you smooth, hair-free skin permanently. All skin types and most body areas — face, underarms, bikini line, legs, arms, abdomen, and back. The MeDioStar's dual wavelengths make it safe and effective even for darker skin tones (Fitzpatrick IV–VI) and newly tanned skin. Best results on dark, coarse hair. Not suitable for very light, white, or grey hair, which lacks the melanin the laser targets.

When will I see results and how long will they last?

Noticeable reduction in hair density, thickness, and regrowth is visible after each session. Because laser only targets follicles in the active growth phase, multiple sessions are needed to treat all follicles. After a full course, most clients achieve 80–90% permanent hair reduction.

How many sessions will I need for best results?

6–8 sessions spaced 4–8 weeks apart (depending on the body area and hair growth cycle) are recommended for a full course. Maintenance sessions once or twice a year address any regrowth from follicles that were dormant during treatment.

Can I combine this with other treatments or products?

Laser hair removal pairs well with skin treatments between sessions. Avoid other laser, IPL, or waxing treatments in the same area. Your provider will advise on timing around sun exposure and other services.

Are there any side effects or things I should avoid?

Mild redness or warmth in the treated area for a few hours — resolves quickly. Avoid sun exposure, tanning, and heat treatments for 2 weeks before and after each session. Use SPF daily on treated areas. Do not wax, thread, or pluck between sessions — shaving is fine. Not suitable during pregnancy.
