How does Fractora Work?

Fractora provides an advanced solution, using radiofrequency (RF) energy to stimulate the skin’s production of elastin and collagen.

Fractora uses CAER’s Bodytite platform to produce controlled RF energy via a small probe with 60 micro needles held gently against your skin.

Fractora works by combining ablation (precise removal of surface cells) with micro punctures. The result is not dissimilar to that of combining the benefits of two popular skin treatments: laser resurfacing (which stimulates skin renewal by precisely removing upper layers of skin) and dermal rolling (tiny punctures in the skin stimulate elastin and collagen growth through the healing process).

How skin regenerating works

It has been noticed for a long time by surgeons and patients alike that when skin is damaged in any way by, say, burns, or surgery, the resulting healed skin looks younger, fresher and firmer. Indeed the healed tissue has more collagen and elastin than the surrounding area. A variety of methods have been used to simulate this effect, the main aim being to stimulate collagen and elastin production in the dermis.

A carefully controlled amount of RF energy is delivered to the dermis through the Fractora handpiece. The dermis in between the needles is only gently stimulated and is responsible for the healing with increased collagen and elastin production over the following weeks. Collagen production plumps out the skin naturally, the dermis regains volume and the overlying skin looks fresher with fewer wrinkles.
